Considering the high levels of commercial goods traffic passing through, the Port authority sought an access management solution that did not interfere with site dynamics, while ensuring the utmost priority for employee, vehicle and ship safety.
The implemented solution involved the installation of electro-mechanical high-usage LUXOR retractable bollards to manage entry points in a secure and automated manner. Powered motors guarantee that access frequency is maintained at the entry points, within a housing suited to climate and chemical issues potentially associated with salt water. The retractable bollards are equipped with a coloured LED system to make them highly visible at night. The design is rounded off by integration into roadway barriers, ensuring employee access to the port roads network.
Eighteen retractable bollards and CAME G4000 barriers were used for the solution.
