GSM or PSTN?
Global System for Mobile communications (GSM) allows digital mobile phones to make connections with mobile telephone service providers. Just like your mobile phone, our GSM entry system uses a SIM card, telephone number and service provider so that it can connect to any telephone, anywhere.
The Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) which is also often referred to as a Landline. Just like the standard telephone in your home, our PSTN (Landline) entry system has to be connected to its own cabled telephone line* and have its own telephone number so that it can communicate as your programming requires to any telephone, anywhere. PSTN products are ideally suited to applications where GSM connectivity cannot be achieved.
Telephone based technology is ideal for use in environments where there is an excessive distance between a gated entrance and the main building or applications where the entry panel needs to call a conventional or mobile phone.
The GSM entry panel range includes versions of all BPT entry panels as well as VR and brass panels manufactured in the UK to the highest standards. Bespoke unit can also be produced to suit every requirement.
